Will frost be an issue if i want to have cobble sotne in my driveway?

i am considering cobble stone for my driveway. Will it be an issue in the winter though??

i live in a northern canadian climate.

plz answer if you know.

  1. As long as it is sealed and water does not get under the stone and freeze, it should bee ok. It'll be just as good as concrete. But be sure it is sealed really well. Good Luck.


  2. Frost won't be so much of an issue, its ice you will have to worry about. The cobblestone becomes very slippery with ice on it. It can be managable tho. Just sprinkle some cat litter or fireplace ash(cold) on the driveway. It sure helped me with all the ice in Missouri.~~~~~~~~~
