I moved into a new house and so far, all I have is my bed in there. If I talk in the room, it echoes and sounds so loud, when i put all of my furniture in it, will the echoing subside?

  1. Yes. Sound waves "bounce" just like water-ripples in a pond. The more stuff the sound waves have to bounce off of, the quicker they subside and the less echo you have in the room. Also, if you have hardwood floors you'll have more echoing as opposed to rugs or carpeted floors. Hardwood floors and sheetrock walls have the uncanny ability to bounce the sound waves better than carpet, which act as a more sound absorbent base.

  2. Yeah it will help absorb the sound

  3. Absolutely. Echoing is caused when sound waves have so much room to bounce off things. When you place furniture, rugs, curtains, and other accessories into your room, it will stop echoing! All these things will absord the sound waves!

    Have fun! :D.

  4. Absolutely!!!  As soon as you have your furnishing in place and some rugs (if you have hardwood floors), you will cut out the "echo" immediately.

  5. ya it should stop
