  1. I don't see them lowering much in the near future. But in Venezuela, gas prices are apparently only 12 cents a gallon. But in some European countries, they pay upwards of $8 a gallon.

  2. we reached peak oil last year

it will never go down again

it really doesnt matter unless you use it ...i stopped a year ago..no more oil for me.

I will buy a electric car when it becomes available.

  3. I already have an alternative. I ride a bike to work. It uses no gas.

I can only see it going up. Oil is growing in demand. Demand never goes down. It  only goes up. Oil is a global commodity. Oil companies have little to nothing to do with the price of oil. Oil is traded on a global market and is based on supply vs demand. With china coming on strong as a big oil user. It will only get worse. In 2003 their demand went up 30%. India is not far behind.

We have to find a way to do without oil!

  4. start making more $. Then you won't flinch at the prices.

  5. If they get lower, it will brobably be by 5cents or so.... because if a company, in this case, the oil company, is making so much money, they dont want to go back down to making less money. Everyone needs it and they know it. If you have a business and know everyone who is buying your product will pay whatever your price is, then you will just keep hicking the price up. That sucks for us but thats the way it is.

  6. I really don't think so.  If so, nothing to make a dent.  I don't think that we'll have enough time nor resources (money) to get the priviledge of having access an alternative.  Therefore, most will be forced to buy gas.  Thus, nothing will change - the oil companies will continue to reap the benefits off of the poor/middle class who won't be able to get ahead...They will continue to turn a profit to the detriment of others....not political, just pure honesty.
