  1. Prices will decline in time.  Spring is traditionally the highest cost season for gasoline.  Refineries perform annual maintenance, reducing the available gasoline.  Combined with this year's rising crude prices, which account for about 70% of the cost of gasoline, we're seeing record levels.

Once the dollar strengthens on the international currency market and if tensions are mitigated in the Middle East and Nigeria (where attacks have been made on pipelines), we'll see a reduction in the price of crude and a drop in street prices for gasoline.  All things being equal, there's no reason we can't approach $2.50/gallon for regular when crude prices drop to "normal" (~$70/barrel) levels.

  2. Yes gas price is very high! It may go down a little, but I have a feeling everyone should get used to high gas prices.

  3. Wouldn't that be nice, but no never.

  4. I think they will decrease a little bit after the summer is over. Prices always go up in the summer as demand for gas rises. Also, once the dollar gains more value, the prices will fall too. But for the next few months it is going to be rough for sure. The current economy is horrible.
