Will gas ruin paint on a car?

I just got my first car and put gas in it for the first time, and I accidentally dripped a little on the side! Will it take off the paint or corrode the surface?

It will if the paint hasn't had time to cure but i'm sure that the paint on your car has.

Nope don't worry about it wont ruin the paint just make sure you wipe it off that's all, i've done it plenty of times on my truck on accident

over time it will dull the finish

gas won't hurt the paint as long as you wipe it off and then put wax on that area.
