Will getting an associates degree in Global Travel & Hospitality help me?

I have worked in the Hotel industry for several years in the past and really love the industry. I started back to college a couple of months ago, and I want to know if you think getting my Associates in Global Travel & Hospitality will help me to obtain a position that is higher than entry-level? Please help!
