  1. Yes I did it for my 3 year old.  Doctors orders!  You can also put him in a warm bath tub and let him play for a while that will help relax everything down there and make it easier for him to go.  Good Luck!

  2. Good Grief !!!!!!

Castor Oil went out with high buttoned shoes.

Ask your pediatrician what to give.

  3. In his cup, give him a tsp of white Karo syrup(you can use store brand also) and then mix it in with a cup of juice. Stir it in when he isn't looking. Make sure he drinks all of it. this will help him. If he don't go repeat it a couple hours later.  I did this for my son, it works and its cheap. I'd stay away from the Castor Oil! And Dairy products for a day or two. That will make it worse. Good Luck, I hope it works!

  4. Yes.  Castor Oil is a good older home remedy.  Too many people now rely on chemicals to do things that nature already has a cure for and the chemicals are harmful to the body.  Follow the directions.  You can also feed him a lot of fruit if you want to be easier on the system.  Just not bananas, they will bind him up more.  Grapes are the best if you don't want to give him prunes.

  5. Is your three year old uncomfortable? If he is not uncomfortable, let nature work on it's own.

Think about it these way: Do you p**p every day? I don't, it doesn't mean I'm uncomfortable.

However, I believe there is not a person in this world that hasn't had a problem at some point or another. If comfort is an issue, try juice, and fruit. It's will be easier on your son, than castor oil.

You want to make him more comfortable, not cause him more cramping.

You can also, rub his stomach in a clockwise motion. This sometimes helps move things along.

  6. Good luck getting him to swallow it! There are modern alternatives which are more palatable, but maybe extra drinks and fruit (especially pears and pear juice) would be enough. Sometimes moisture loss in hot weather can cause problems, so definitely offer more water or fruit juice, but avaoid sugary drinks or cola as this can make it worse.

  7. They sell an over the counter medicine for that specially made for young children but first it's best to give theml ots of apple juice.

  8. aaggh don't do that. Call the doctor.

  9. It will definitely make him p**p. But call the doctor and ask if it's safe and how much you can give him!

  10. Yes, but it will also give him terrible stomach cramps.  Try something a little easier on the body like miralax.
