  1. That isn't true at all. I'm 14 almost 15 and have had glasses for just about 10 years now and my eyes (when I take the glasses off) still suck as much as they did 10 yrs. ago--actually it's even more noticeable because you begin to depend on the glasses for clear vision (the entire objective really is to have non-strained and clear vision). My dad had glasses for over 10 years and then had LASIK surgery to not have to wear them any more, but his eyes still aren't perfect.

So to answer your question--no, glasses provide corrected vision only while you're wearing them.

  2. no, glasses enhance your vision and makes it sharper. i have had glasses since 2nd grade and my eyes haven't changed, AT ALL. If you don't like glasses try contacts or laser eye surgery and you wont have a problem!

  3. HAHA no... it wont. your eyes focus on things. in some people there eyes are off. they can't focus on things. glasses fix that. by helping focus. it helps but doesnt fix the problem. neither contacts. your best hope is lazer eye surgery. your mom is full of c**p.

ive acually heard glasses make your vision worse. because it relies on the glasses for sight. although i could be wrong. which is why i dont were contacts or glasses.( i think im like a 20/40 or however you say it.

  4. Sorry Dear...glasses don't correct a visual defect in your eye.

All glasses can do is help you see better when you have them on.

No one can guaranty how your eyes will change over the next few years, but if you are a teen, and are nearsighted now, you can be pretty sure it will just increase, not get better.

  5. I'm afraid not- glasses correct your vision, yes, but they only work while you are wearing them. they cannot correct an eye problem-once you have poor vision, you have it for life, it may get worse as you age, not better. the only thing that will fix it is lasix surgery(dont know the spelling). sorry.
