People are driving cars that produces carbon dioxide.  People are farming and producing carbon dioxide... And the biggest carbon dioxide producer is utility companies that make electrical power...

As long as we continue doing what we're doing global warming is going to get worse and worse.  The world is not going to stop driving their cars, and the world isn't going to stop using electricity, and we still need farmers and ranchers if we're going to eat...  So does global warming have to get worse??

No, it can all stop... We can fertilize the oceans with iron sulfate and this will produce plankton blooms that will suck the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.  We can stop using petroleum and start using oil from algae (oilgae).  This will also suck the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and turn it into diesel oil.  Utility companies can pump their carbon dioxidewastes into algae farms that will make oil that will run the utility companies that make our electricity.  And finally, some day in the future we will be have artifical photosynthesis and that will change the whole world and will produce an economic boom that is beyond our imaginations.

As long as we keep making greenhouse gases in enormous amounts, global warming will dominate in the long run.  It's simple physics.

global warming will keep happening until the government does something about it... United states is a mass consuming country and the chinese keeps feeding them goods... so to basically sum it all up , they are both the 2 superpowers to be spoken to about the issue of Global warming. research how the chinese hire cheap labor and not creating earth friendly or even attempt to make one

All we as people can do is limit are use on cars and waste producing product like (hairspray, Lighter, FARTING LOL, well seriously it will never stop. Global warming and global cooling are natural cycles of the planet and have been continuing for 4.5 billion years. Both of these event have been going on way before animals or humans inhabited the earth. Every 100,000 years or so the cycle reverses itself. The last warming cycle started at the end of the last ice age, approx. 10,000 years ago. We have been in a warming stage since then with a couple of cooling "glitches" the last of which was in the mid 1800s. If you have a look at any book on climatology you will learn all about this.

I don't know. It appears that way because the ozone layer of our atmosphere is being eroded away by not only pollution but the NASA spacecraft poking holes in it when they are launched and re-enter the atmosphere. I  believe that is why there is a giant hole in the ozone--look it up.

But then, again, I lived through the gas rationing of the late 1970's and the hysterical pundits SCREAMED that there would be not one drop of fossil fuel left by the year 2000! Now, it is 8 years past that deadline and the OPEC countries still have enough gas to jerk us around with and make us pay  through the nose for it!

So who can you believe?

One meteorologist said LIVE ON AIR that the warming of the planet's temperature is the result of La Nina/El Nino which cools and heats the planet alternately every twenty years or so. So now, we here in California are in the cool 20 year phase which is actually happening. For the last 20 years we have been in a hideous heat wave/drought condition.

Again, who can you believe?

Everybody uses the environment for their own political purposes. Most average people think nothing of dropping their trash into the oceans. If you can't get them to do the right thing for our poor planet, what makes you think anyone in power who pollutes will do anything to help this world?

if we keep treating the enviornment like c**p, then yes. global warming will continue until we make changes & save the earth. the more gases that trap heat rays on the earth, the hotter it will get. so 20 years from now it might never snow again. it will probably be like 70 degrees year round.

OK look global warming is a natural thing the Earth goes through this naturally. We as humans putting out so much pollution are just making it hotter faster. if all the humans in the world just stopped polluting all together the earth would still heat up (global warming) then cool down (ice age) so you should try to pollute less and use energy saving lights etc even though it would only slow the inevitable. But look at it this way, humans are a though species and we get through it so no need to worry. You should be more worried about a car hitting you or getting stroke with lightning.

It will keep happening unless we do something about it.  It is happening because we are sending too much carbon in the air it acts as a greenhouse, the heat does through to the Earth, but cannot get out.  We can stop it mostly by changing our fuel for cars and stop releasing carbon into the air.  Also, if we continue to cut down trees and forests, we'll be wasting things that use the carbon we're sending up.

haha ... it's NOT happeneing.... come to MN and you will see... but seriously... not happening.. the climate has always been changing but americans want something to spen all of MY tax money and such on and want to "feel better" so they say there is global warming and that it's our fault so we need to change it.... Let's all hug and the world will be better... come on and wake up is what i say.
