Will going to the salon damage my hair, because of the type of hair I have?

Question

On Monday, Im going to get a hair cut, (proper side-bangs, layers, and a trim) But for the type of hair I have, (me being bi-racial, and having permed hair, which was just permed 2 days ago) Would the products they use damage my hair? Im pretty sure they are going to wash and shampoo it, but will the products damage my hair? I have permed hair and my mother is African and my father is European.

** I've used black products and I don't know the type of products that the salon will be using on me.

i don't think so.

my sister perms her hair. (well relaxes it)

but she gets it cut and stuff all the time.

and she has the same hair style you want.

make sure you tell them you have permed hair!!!!! it is very important ... if you do not they may use chemicals that will react with your perm and cause your hair to fall out ( just tell them your hair's permed when you get there) also its good to tell them because they may need to use a different type of conditioner/shampoo on your hair
