thats what health ministry official said i know it's already banned smoking in many places for protecting health it seems a little complicated though there is currently no age limit on the purchase of this products and you have many smokers im just curious what do you think about this? should be legal in some places? btw im just a passive smoker :)

  1. I hope they do, but I agree with Asimenia, I'm not sure at all that it will be implemented.

  2. i don't think so.  here in manhattan, the greek bars are still filled w/smokers even though there's a no-smoking ban.

  3. yes greece must to be following with rules of eu.

  4. yes

  5. ahahaa... about effing time!!! Greeks are reportently the biggest smokers in the EU -- kinda hard to see their reaction when they cant smoke inside -- i know!! - they will smoke outside- (as they didnt smoke outside enough) -well thats Greek mentality for you!..... laws change but if the people are the same, thennn well... you get my drift!!!! lol

  6. Well, Greece is a European country and eventually has to catch up with the smoker ban. The Greeks who are passionate smokers won't like it, but at the end, they'll have to accept it.

But since half of the year Greeks live outside anyway, they'll find a way to smoke during cold and rainy days as well. ;)

  7. It was about time the state thought of the citizens.  Yeah,  why kill us with smoke when they can kill us with just a piece of paper at eforia (IRS) payment or bad service at IKA (social/health insurance) !  I think they just want to stop people smoking and start taking pills!

I am kidding of course but please,  don't say 'for protecting health' !  They could do so many things and they started from something they just have to order others not to do.

BTW I am anti smoker but pro human if it makes any sense...

  8. They can try - but it will never be enforced - seatbelts/ helmets are still not worn by everyone (including Police). Drink driving is still going strong (my friend's a nurse and sees the result of this every weekend). They are told not to use too much water - try telling that to the women that hose down the roads to settle the dust! The list is endless ...Greeks don't like following rules.

  9. they banned smoking here in NYC a few years ago. at first i was upset, but now its kinda nice actually...and im a smoker too. if you want to smoke just go outside, its not a big deal, and its a nice way to meet people (ie; girls) too.  in the wintertime it can get annoying but you get used to it. in the summer just find an outdoors cafe and smoke as much as you want. as for nightclubs, even though technically you cant smoke in them, after 12am though nobody really cares.

  10. ha ha ha ,marisa..you have no idea how right you are..lol just as well pills/medicine..is mostly unafordable to most greeks..lol..but hey after tax.. not much left.. i predict people will either grow thier own weed..or..turn to agrivation to let it all out..i mean we cant even break plates at the BOUZOUKIA any more....ha ha  ha ha..3 cheers for the EU....
