  1. No, but it is unlikely your plant will survive

  2. i think mavster answered it terrific. follow his advice.

  3. No, the plant will not harm the food, but the fridge will likely harm your plant, if kept in there for any length of time. All plants need sunlight to photosynthesize, and only some will be happy with being put into a refrigerator without some acclimation.

  4. All your food should be properly wrapped, bottled, ziplocked and tupperwared up to begin with. as far as vegetables and fruit  if they are being held in the crisper then I doubt it will be no problem. It would be helpful to know what type of plant this is, but from the way its sounds it doesn't seem to be anything like a fungus. I can't think of any plants off hand that would be deadly if injested, many can make you sick but nothing that wouldn't kill you unless you injested some large ammount.

If you are adding fertilizer to the plant that might be a problem, but I would just make sure the plant isn't in the position to fall over into some food.

In other words, No it should not harm your food in a deadly sense. may ruin a bowl of macaroni if the plant falls over on it and you get dirt in it.lol.

I'm real curious as to what type of plant it is though because it may be very likely to die from being put in the fridge unless part of the project is to control the temperate.

If it's a cannabis plant its probably going to die since they originated in warmer climates. Even if its not that, since the plant is not getting any light until you open the door It's pretty unlikely that that plant is going to live
