  1. There are some good answers here but the key to toning your legs and not bulking them up is higher cadence. Find a moderate gear that you can spin a little in but are able to move briskly at the same time. If you are a big chainring person, then you'll without a doubt bulk up. Try using gears that will allow you to spin a bit. You will tone those legs. Good luck

  2. 1 hour

  3. No, unless you are doing some insanely steep climbs. 30~45 min. will help burn a few calories but not much more. Doing a 30~45 min. ride and keeping close count of your calorie intake will help take a few pounds off over time.

  4. Not a chance. It will improve muscle tone but unless you're cycling up extremely steep hills it won't cause you to put on any muscle condition.

  5. Gday, yea it would make ur thighs bulk up and loose the flab. you can bulk up your thighs quiker in 30 minutes if you ride up hill. overall, ur thighs and calves will become stronger. hope that helps

  6. Any cycling will help slim your thighs.  You have to be careful about doing any type of cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time because you start to burn muscle instead of fat.

If your goal is to bulk your thighs up, you'll have to put a strain to them.  One poster suggested riding uphill, and that will bulk them up.  So will leg exercises like squats, leg presses, and lunges.

  7. Harden, yes. Bulk, I don't think so. It will increase your stamina though, and that is very good.
