Will having a class B misdemeanor (from Jan 2003) prevent me from getting a UK student visa?

I shoplifted when I was 18, but didn't go to court until just after I turned 19. I paid a fine, learned my lesson, and that is the only time I've ever broken the law (unless you count speeding tickets). Will this prevent me from being approved for a student visa to study in Scotland?

  1. I don't think so. You  should apply for student visa fulfilling other requirements. Normally student visa is granted if the Institution is recognized in UK & you have proof of maintaining your study independently.
