Will having a hurricane mitigation really save you money when purchasing home owners insurance?

Yes.Some inspection (mitigation is an inspection) companies give a "money back deal" ..they give your money back if your discount is less than what you paid for the inspection (mitigation) . I paid $150 for the inspection and got a refund of $900 (30%).My friend got a refund of $2,000 (40%) but I know a girl who got $35 dollars only.It works best if you have Citizens Insurance (don't know why).I live in Florida.
