Will having candidates like Barack Obama and Sarah Palin rekindle interest in voting for Americans?

Simply because we are seeing some different people as opposed to voting for the same old four stodgy white guys?

I think it will. Its got everybody all excited about casting their votes. I know I am!!!!

Good question. I do think it will open a new dimension regardless of what party you support.  It seems to have done so already.

Perhaps, but it will certainly motivate young voters who may have been disinterested in the past and not even bothered to register.

Possibly.  Most of American culture is centered around empty fluff and sound bytes.  These two certainly fit the bill.
