  1. I am not certain of this question but If you are trying to connect 2 modems to a single account, NO.  Interesting question to ask if you wanted 2 accounts at the same home location. I don't see why that wouldn't work. You should probably contact your cable customer service if that is what you are looking for.


  2. Call your ISP.  I don't think you can have 2 modems on the same account but there may be exceptions.

    Assuming it's somehow permitted it shouldn't slow it down as the bandwidth of the coax is far greater than the speed your ISP will allow (or the modem can run at).
