I know someone who found 2,300 at a casino in Missouri. They did not rob, anyone. They just found it and wrongly didn't turn it in. Apparently since there was a coupon inside with the money who had the person's name on it, it is considered stealing, but not robbery. It qualifies as a class C felony. This is their first offense. No record other than traffic violations. Can they expect to do any time in prison for this?

  1. He will probably get offered a plea agreement lowing the charges to a misdemeanor.  If he takes the plea agreement, he will probably just have a fine and maybe probation.

  2. no he wont.. he will get fined maybe depends how the judge is.
