Will hermit crabs hurt lizards or lizards harm hermit crabs?

i have them in the same cage and they seem 2 like eachother

  1. Hermit crabs and lizards require different set ups.

    Yes they can harm one another.

    hermit crabs don't like to be around live insects which most lizards are fed. Also lizards can pass pests on to hermit crabs and vice versa.

    Hermit crabs moult and this is when they are most at risk. They dig under the substrate and if disturbed by a lizard it could spell trouble.

    They likely have different heating and humidity requirements.

    Hermit crabs also require salt and fresh water which lizards do not.
