Will hiding my IP address be the answer to my problem

...well it's not really a problem, just a nuisance. I moved to Alaska and have a myspace account. There are people I know that have world locater maps that allow them to see approximately (the city) where their website visitors live. I don't want them to see that I sometimes visit their pages. Will hiding my IP address keep my town from appearing on their visitor map? If it will, how can I go about hiding it? (for free if possible)

You need access to a proxy server, that can simulate your address being anywhere in the world.

Me, I have trouble re charging my poker accounts from my gf's Danish address, with a UK address, so I know what you mean.

yes hiding your IP address will make you seem like your at another part of the world. www.iphider.org, or google search "proxy"

There's a website you can use called "Anonymouse", I think.  It let's you surf the web anonymously.

ok go to hidemyass.com then go to the site it hides you location and evething

Simple really just press start/run then type in ipconfig and type eg. ip 543954.546.54 (your ip) ip/.......54.3./gyp
