  1. Not sure but it is not that difficult to do yourself.

All you need is the correct type of saw (HoDe employees should be able to help you find the correct type). Check the saw packaging to make sure it is for PVC, it can be for other things also.

The blade should have finer teeth, not like a wood saw.

You don't need an electric saw either. Should take less then 1 minute per cut.

If your concerned about straight cuts, PVC is pretty forgiving, so long as you're not off by say 30deg. If you still don't trust yourself get a mitre box, make sure the mitre saw will cut PVC. Again, look for finer (more & smaller) teeth.

  2. Home depot has cut pvc for me before, sometimes it's hard to find a sales person to help with it. Usually you get a small slip of paper with footage and a sku on it so they can ring you up at checkout. No self checkout.

  3. They will probably make one or two cuts for you, but they will not cut a whole bunch of cuts (like a stick into 6 or 12 inch pieces).

  4. A PVC pipe cutter looks like garden pruning shears. I have used my hand shears to cut PVC pipe at home, so if you need a lot of small pieces, use your hand pruning shear.

For larger diameter pipe, I use a common hack saw. A hack saw works just fine if you remove the plastic strings made by the saw.

Otherwise, yes they will cut a few cuts for you at the time of purchase.

  5. They may help you cut it to size at the time of purchase!

  6. Probably. My HD will cut and thread steel gas and water pipe when you buy it, so I can't imagine they won't cut PVC. On the other hand, you can get a cutter for very little money, then you can cut it whenever you need.
