  1. A leaking roof causing water damage to the interior of a home if not covered by direct storm damage, may have been damaged by high winds, thereby allowing water to penetrate into the dwelling, refer back to your homeowners insurance regarding wind damage, this maybe your only recourse short of suing your insurance company.
