Will honesty ever return to Washington?

Closed-door deals, pork-barreling, corruption and outright arrogance and elitism have prevailed against the best interset of Americans for decades. Our founders had a much better grasp on the meaning of a free society despite the fact that slavery was not written out of the constitution. Enslavement with the augmentation of 21st-century technology will be our fates if we continue down our current path.

  1. The only way is to fill the halls of congress with honest men and women.  I'm not holding my breath.

  2. I don't believe there was ever honesty there to begin with. Every politician has his/her own hidden agendas and ways to acheive them, it's nothing new

  3. I agree, never happen. After all, you'd have to remove the insulation that congress has from the American people, eliminate the Marxist, seudo communist, socialist and liberal members that are always s******g up America with failed policy and wasted tax money.

Transparency in Government will never happen.

Candidates can't even stop from lying about each other on the campaign trail, must less sitting in a nice office in Washington.

  4. Never, unfortunately.

  5. Dont be such a *****. Sure some back room deals go down, and there is some corruption. You sound likes its a giant conspiracy. Other governments have their problems also. America is no worse than any other country, but it is the world most powerful nation, and all of its flaws are put in the spotlight.

  6. Corruption and government has been around quite a while.  It didn't start with the U.S Senate, it didn't even start with the Roman Senate.  Governments have most likely been corrupt since there were governments to be corrupted.   Just reading about some of the governments of the ancient world, and of the middle ages, it seems that you could just change the names to those of modern government officials, and it would read like current events.
