  1. Not all humans fight each other. I think some humans would help the aliens and some wouldn't. Humans have different ideas and opinions. Still, it matters when would they arrive. I don't think humanity is prepared for a close encounter yet.

  2. you just answered your own question..........{humans are ready to fight their kind bcuz of different skin colors or eye shapes or even how they worship the same god in a different way...}..., I firmly believe that aliens have came to Earth...I don't believe that we are the only planet in the hole be mess called the universe that has life on it ,,,,besides,,,,the aliens that would have the ability to come here would be smart enough to  leave right away, or just keep on going .....we humans are not even smart enough to help ourselves let alone help someone from another planet.....

  3. The short answer is yes, but you open up a whole new line of questions.  What would they give us in exchange for helping them out?  Would they eventually dominate us?  Would we be treated as equals or slaves on our own planet?  There would be some interesting opportunities, but also some big problems to surmount.  Look what happened when Europeans colonized the New World--the native cultures were dominated and enslaved by people who thought their ways were superior.  Something similar could happen between our civilization and an alien culture.  We would have to take things very slowly if and when we encounter an alien culture--even if they came to us for help.

  4. It all depends whether "they" have loads of oil or some other that many humans crave, or-- WMD.

  5. Let's face it, they wouldn't be our equals, as they managed to figure out how to travel between the stars, we can't even figure out how to power such a trip, so the question probably isn't how we'd cope with them, it's more than likely how they'd cope with us.

Not a comforting thought, but there you go.

  6. Dear Friend,

If Aliens approach humans for help, then Humanity will help them for sure. Imagine the technology they will bring with them and Knowledge far more advanced than us. Humans were actually made to help this Universe become more docile and peaceful.

Though humans are fighting among themselves for petty things as you stated, but humans are ultimately humans and they shall welcome every kind and culture to settle among themselves, as we expect every Alien to be helpful. It is give and take in life after all.

I recommend the concept of MIB.

  7. Most probably as a start, it will never go completely to public when aliens come on earth for their seeking of help and guidance. As we all know, It may cause great deal of conflicts. Alien visitors maybe be welcomed, as people here will also be gratified for the unknown far advanced knowledgeable ways or great technology from them. Then it may be truly a give and take kind of relationship anticipated.

Earthlings will never find themselves threatened just before they agree upon a certain level of understanding that these procedures of help be properly implemented.

When aliens have to seek peacefully their main objectives for help and not for the purpose of maliciously intruding earth or without any dominance resolution, will ever provoke people to comply with enough understanding of what was peacefully initiated. Then formally agreed upon with such conditions.

    ^^

  8. I take it you are not a student of Darwin or History.

    So I'll keep it simple.

When the big ship shows up on your shore it's rarely a good thing for the natives.

  9. If the "help" they need is my blood or life-force, forget it. If they just need regular help - like moving a couch - count me in.
