Will hummus keep outside the fridge?

I want to take some hummus on a 4-day bike trip. Can it last that long outside the fridge?? Thanks!

no way, it won't last more that a few hours outside let alone days. i took some to work one day, it made it to lunch but i didn't finish it. i had to throw it away by the end of the day.

nope. it'll go rancid. mostly because of the tahini. it need to stay refrigerated.

Your hummus will not make a 4 day trip outside of your refrigerator. It is a refrigerated food and should be kept below 40 degree F to be safe for your consumption. This regardless if it is store bought or home-made.

Your best bet is a small cooler bag and a refrigerant pouch if you want to take it. And in that case you should probably eat it within the first 24 hours.
