Will hurricane gustav be as bad as katrina?

Just wondering if like the gas prices and other stuff will go sky high like it did when katrina hit.

I live in Southeastern Lousiana.

As for the gas prices in the stuff..yeah,that might be the bad part.

But,I think that we're better prepared for this storm than how we were during Katrina. Many people have chosen to evacuate, stock up better, and take the storm more seriously.

I just hope the damage is just not as bad. Because when Katrina hit,I did not go back to my hometown until December 16th.

it will be worse then katrina and by this time tomm new orleans will be under water. fema will have plenty of house boats for folks in new orleans

I evacuated to florida for katrina, and i'm here again for this one, and I want to go home.

I'm really scared.

Definitely the gas prices will go up!!

i remember when we finally got our electricity back after 5 weeks, and we could finally leave our house, because of all the debris! We stayed! I live in the southeastern part of louisiana and they say this hurricane is going to be worse then katrina because were getting the EAST side of the hurricane, which is the worst side you can get! When katrina hit N.O we got the west side which isnt the bad part and it still did alot of damage! I can't even imagine the damage Gustav is going to so!

I suspect it will be just like Katrina because of the deep warm waters over which it will gain strength.   But I also expect it will be better for the people because they are now organized and know what to do so nobody dies.
