  1. No.  There are too many roadblocks in the way of hydrogen cars.  The only advantage they have over electric cars is range and refueling time, and EVs are already solving those problems.

Electric cars will be the transportation of the future.  See links below.

  2. It takes more energy to separate hydrogen than it produces. So right now it is not a good option. New technology may prove it to work someday but not right now.

  3. I don't believe that we should limit ourselves to one fuel of the future, if we do, we can then end up with the same problem as we have with fossil fuel now.

While it is true that there are new inovations being made in Hydrogen.

There is also new innovations being make in Electric technology.

  4. It might be, though synthetic hydrocarbons or just electricity (stored in batteries) are also possibilities.

  5. Already is in a different country though. Either Iceland or Greenland I cant remember.

  6. Not until someone come up with a cheap clean way to make hydrogen.

For years people have been saying that in 20 years hydrogen will power our cars, trucks etc. They do this every time they talk about hydrogen as a fuel, they said it in the 1970's 1980's, 1990's, and in 2000 always just 20 years away.

The reason it won't work is that you lose 34% of the enegry  converting water into hydrogen (using electricty) then you put in an engine that give you back at best 40% of that enegry so at best you'll get back 26% of the enegry you put in back as work. Compaired to batteries you lose 10% charging the batteries and another 10% when you use the power so you get back 81%.

    Hydorgen is a pipe dream.

  7. Yes it will be!

  8. i found these videos to be informative ... check them out on youtube , they are 4 parts this is the first one.

  9. This article discusses how impractical hydrogen and electric cars are, due to the unavoidable waste each time energy is converted from one form to another. And the expense of the hardware needed. Only the wealthy  few will be able to afford these forms of energy.

I think we need to get past the idea of everyone bringing a ton or two of metal everywhere we go, at high speeds, long distances, and wasting momentum at each stop sign. Bicycles are the transport of the future.

  10. No, Google will be.

  11. No... once battery technology improves enough to power a car on long trips, 'alternative' fuels of any kind will be unnecessary.

  12. could be if they find a way 2 use it as fuel.

  13. PLEASE...

What is this Rome? I am amused by the thumbs down, like I am going to be allowed to somehow die; these are the people that "pretend" to be GREEN (ha ha ha, make me laugh).

You cowards bellyache about what will somebody else will do to help you save the world...  You want to do something productive, get a basket for your bike so you can bring home your groceries and quit using plastic bags if you think it will make you feel better...

  14. if we can perfect cold fusion, until then NO!

  15. i think it will be.

  16. no

    electric powered cars will be

  17. I think so...dont they already have hydrogen cars in Japan?...thats what i heard...
