  1. Most probably you will but the only way to make sure is to call Sprint and ask.  When I went to the Dominican Republic 2 years ago Verizon just had to do a one time activation of something on my phone.  It was free and only took 2 minutes.

  2. no, coz its not a cell phone in london, its a mobile lol

    yea probly if its  quadband

  3. Sprint operates service in Europe, however, I am not sure if the phones they sell in the US can tap into this service while abroad. More and more companies are starting to do this though so the best thing to do is call Sprint and see if they offer this service and if they can activate your phone to work abroad.

You might also be able to rent from them a special Sprint phone that will work abroad before you go in case yours won't work. It will cost A LOT more with renting fees and increased air time costs. My fiance's T-Mobile phone works abroad, he just needs to call T-Mobile before he leaves and tell them he wants to use his phone in England. But the costs are really high, for example calls to the US that would normally be free on his plan are $1 per minute.

If the phone option doesn't work or you don't have the cash you'd be best off buying a phone card once you get there and using that to call home. DO NOT buy a phone card in the US to take over. No matter how many times on the package the card says that it will work from Europe, it won't. I promise. You're better off buying a card when you get to the UK. Basic phone cards can be bought in any convenience store or newsagent. Just go to the counter and ask for a phone card that works to call the US.
