Surprisingly, probably not.  A lot of places will look at your credit history.  If you don't have any credit, good or bad, then they may not approve you.  If you have had an account in the past that you have made payments on and paid it off...that looks good on your credit report.

If you don't have any credit history, they may just flat out refuse you. It's only AT & T and not a mortgage so they're likely to ask for a deposit. Say $200 just in case you default on your payments.

i got a verizon cell phones and i aint got no credit cards and i didnt have to put down a deposit....

you will just have to go and try
