Will i be asked for ID buying alcohol.

I look 18, because im 6foot4 but i dont have ID. Will i get ID'ed at a bottleshop? (Australia)

This is what you shouldn't do its illegal.

Be confident If you act like your meant to be there they won't call you on it.  Don't try big stores go to small locals not yours they might recognize you preferably private owned.

Just try places and if the ask you for id go for your wallet say "o c**p I left my wallet at home I live 5 mins away I just go get it can you hold the drinks till I get back"

then you can try heaps of places and find out where to get it.

I've never done this a couple of times(that would be illegal) and it works

store owners can't hold you legally but if they do hold you (very unlikely) I don't think the cops would charge them.  The store can't prove you are not 18 but they can only refuse service

I don't think they can charge you with fraud because you never said you were over 18 and if they sell you it and then card you they sold liquor to a minor and they will get in ten times the **** you will.  But I’m not sure on that there may be laws against attempting it but I don't know I think most of the laws are trying to stop stores selling compared to u buying.  there are massive laws on using fake ids because that counts as fraud

ask your friends, likely there are specific liqour stores that don't card, or at least don't card often.  Usually other underage drinkers know these places well.

Being 6ft 4in doesn't mean you look 18. Some people can tell. You won't get arrested at the pub or bottle shop, but if the barman rings the cops you will be then.....Good luck with that....RoyM.....

Jesus i wish some people would read the question. Hes aussie over here the legal age is 18. Its hard to tell really, You can never be too careful these days. Im 6 ft 2 and 23 yrs old i get asked for id all the time.
