Will i be getting a school supply list?

Question

I'm going to high school this year and i didn't get a school supply list. So do high school students get a school supply list? If not what do i buy for school, just the basics?

The teachers will tell you what you need for there class at most high schools, but if you want to be sure then call them.

high schools usually don't hand out school supplies lists.

mostly because that would be extremely difficult when you have a large number of students all taking different courses.

come to think of it.i didn't even get a list in middle school.

somethings that may come in handy are:

backpack.

binder.

notebook paper.

notebook.

erasers.

pens.

colored pencils.

mechanical or old fashioned pencils.

ruler.

calculator.

if you are taking a foreign language i strongly suggest a dictionary for that language.

Once you get to class your teachers will tell you if there is anything they specifically want you to purchase.

Bring writing instruments, notebooks for each period, a book bag, a calculator, and a 3-ring binder.

Or you could be like me and bring only pencil and do all my homework during lunch and leave all my books in my class.

i get a supply list every year, but i live in australia.

if there is any special textbooks you will get a supply list, but otherwise you wont need one, and since your only year 8 you shouldnt need one.

just buy a 5 subject notebook, a scientific calculator (you shouldnt need a graphics one til year 9 or 10), a language dictionary for whatever LOTE subject you do, LOTS of loose leaf paper, graph paper, MANY many pencils and pens, about 3 display files, and 2 small ring binders.

Just buy lots of paper!!! You will need them for notes.

Pens, pencils, usually if you need something special your teacher will tell you ahead of time and give you time to buy it

Get the basics, all of your teachers will go over a sylabus asking you to buy stuff for there class. Don't go to nutso with the basics though, you might end up not using half of it! You'll be fine! Good luck!

Having just graduated from a California high school, I can tell you this: It's just like junior high, but with more stupid people.

You'll need a couple 3 ring binders, because some teachers demand their own.

A backpack.

Pencils.

Pens [blue and black ONLY.]

A ruler

Graphing calculator

That should get you through your first day. Your teachers will tell you any specifics.

I never had a supply list in high school. The best way to know for sure is to ring your school and ask.

You just need pens, pencils, eraser, sharpener and ruler. If you need something else they will usually give you warning and time to get it. (like compass and protractor).

You will need note books of course
