Question:

Will i be ok in my 400m?

hi, i dont actually train for this event,

i train in my own gym, running 3-5miles on the 2 quickest paces on the treadmill straight out.

i do weight work, im 14.

i havnt lost a cross country race in my school for 3 years,

do i have a chance against people who have trained specially for the event?

  1. I run track and field and cross country in highschool and I think that you will be okay in a 400m  run if you run cross country. Although it is technically a sprinting race, endurance helps a lot and many great 100m runners have trouble in the 400m for lack of that endurance you will have from cross country. Just start out at a small meet where you can test out the waters first, and run as hard as you can. You may surprise yourself with your abilities.
