Serious answers, please. It's not like it matters to me personally; I don't want to be famous or anything. But would my face be seen on tv OR the internet? If it's going to be that way I might not do it.

  1. There is a possiblility that you could make the news or even a picture be made public at your nearest Walmart. It would all depend on the exact action that your family takes in trying to find you. It would also depend on how the officials see it. Do they see you as a run away or a missing person? I would guess your parents and officals would decide what to do in regards to going public.

  2. Probably not.  Teens run away from home all the time and they almost never make the news.  I was a cop for 10 years, took hundreds of runaway and missing person reports and not one ever made it on TV.  Usually, the only time they make it on the news is if there is any sort of unusual circumstances that makes it a sensational story, or if the family approaches the media and asks for the exposure.  If you are missing for a really long time, you might make it onto a billboard, milk carton, or missing person flier in Wal Mart.  Other than that, the cops will do a report, enter you into the federal NCIC computer system, check around some places for you, and wait for you to turn up somewhere.

  3. Well that depens on alot of thing like where you go to, if they can find you, and how long you stay there. You could get on the news, but why would you want to even hurt you're parents heart if you try??

  4. Only if you are placed on Amber Alert because your parents feel you have been kidknapped, otherwise police will only search the homes of all friends and aquaintances, and they will follow all leads, at which time the friends and/or parents of friends who are supporting you, will be charged with harboring a runaway even if they are minors, and probably be sentenced to some significant jail time. My daughter ran away a couple of times, and the parents of the boy that she was staying with really regret their involvement now. I wouldn't recommend running away unless you intend staying at a hotel, because you are only going to cause problems for a lot of people, and probably place yourself in a dangerous situation. Your parents can't protect you or help you if they don't know where you are. Talk to a school counselor if things are that bad at home. ;-)
