  1. If your state requires you to have plates on back and front, you could be pulled over and ticketed.  You should replace it.

  2. In Ohio you are required to have two plates. One front and one back.

  3. I think in most states only the back one is required. In Texas,I drove a truck for 6 years with only a back plate and was pulled over several times and was never questioned about it.

  4. Yes. You'll probably have to get two new ones.

  5. Zach, i am not sure about your state, but my state requires a plate on the front and back of the car. I had put a vanity plate on the front of my car and was pulled over. The officer just informed me of the law and gave me a warning and that was it. You need to go to the DMV as soon as you can. I am not sure if they can give you just a front plate to match the back one. you prob have to get a new set.

  6. In California, yes you can be pulled over for a missing front plate. It happened to me in Benicia, CA.

  7. Yes you can.

Section 5200(a) of the California Vehicle Code clearly states that if you are issued two plates for a vehicle they both have to be displayed.

According to the page 19 of the California Uniform Bail & Penalty Schedule the fine is $108.

I think it would be easier just to put that front plate on.

    Good luck to you.
