Will i end up bald just like my dad?

My Dad is completely bald, and both my grandparents are pretty much the same. My oldest brother who is 23 is going bald also. I am 17 years old and have not experienced any balding at all yet, but I am really nervous/worried that I will also inevitably start balding within 5 years. Is it possible that maybe I just randomly got good genes, or am I gonna be bald too? Also, is there any way to prevent balding?

baldness has nothing to do with your father but it all has to do with your mothers father. if he went bald you will too...this is a proven genetic fact

Most likely. Typically the genes are inherited from your mother's father. There are certainly surgeries to prevent balding but they are quite expensive. You can also try medicines that won't work.

no the bladness gene come from your MOMs DAD so your grandfather, if he was bald expect to go bald, i repeat bladness does NOT come from your dad

Dude, don't worry about being bald.  Your mother obviously found your father attractive or they would not have had kids.  If you find a woman that does not like you because you have a full head of hair, don't worry, she does not deserve you anyway.  I am 40 plus and have thinning hair on the top.  My father has a full head of hair and is 70 plus.  As for those hair preparations, forget them.  Concentrate on being successful.  Women love successful men.  However, watch out for gold diggers.  Find your self a successful woman and show her love and respect.  That's what real women are looking for.

you may want to get hair plugs like i did. being bald really lowers your self esteem.

All the men in my family are bald. My dad was bald even as a kid. I don't mind bald men. Hair gets in the way.
