  1. Hey there:

First of all I am truly sorry for your loss.  I have been there myself, just a little less than 5 years ago...(March 18, 2004).

I was 24 when my mother died.  I would say that there are definitely things that will always remind you of her, and that you may never get completely over it, but it gets better over time.  There are groups that meet for talking sessions, and you may want to look into that for some assistance.  I went to some intensive group therapy for about 6 months after my mother's death.

The hardest days for me are on her death day, Mother's day, and her birthday, but each year that passes, it gets a little easier every day.

Try to remember the good things that you shared and the positive moments.  When you feel down about her passing, just remember that she is in a better place where there is no pain, no suffering.  She is still there for you in spirit.

Here's to you and your family,

    God Bless
