Will i get 100% approval for my h1b petition? As i got Receipt number already...?

Question

I applied for h1b for US. My application is being selected in lottery system. so i am having receipt number. My friends said now you will get approval and then visa garunteed...

IS IT TRUE???Has anyone's got the approval yet this year???

The receipt number is simply that they are processing your application and have received  it does not mean you are going to be successful in your application. Sorry, your friends are wrong.

just by applying and having a receipt number does not gurrantee a visa for you. USA has a fixed number of H1B visas to give each year and the applicants are much much more that the number of visas available. so, please wait for the reply from us embassy.

The receipt only means that they have your application and are processing it.  There is no guarantee it will be approved.  There is no guarantee your employer will not withdraw your application before it is processed.  So many employers are laying off employees (including non-renewal or outright termination of people on work permits) that it is entirely possible the job will evaporate before USCIS starts issuing next year's visas.

There are never guarantees, you still have to attend an interview at the U.S. Embassy for your visa when the time comes and the Consular Officer could very well deny your visa on the day if your case is not strong enough.
