  1. At 17 you will likely pick up many usages but your accent is not likely to change a whole lot. I moved from New York to Chicago when I was 16, and though I lost the most obvious aspects of my New York accent, people with good ears can still pick it up now, many years later.


  2. your starting to get the hang of it allready but i doubt it will improve much with out effort shes a bonza place the old oz just avoid perth they have a tendency to shoot merkins in the west

    You will pick up inflections and local uses over time, but most likely you will always have a somewhat yankee accent to most Aussies.

  4. I think if you live in a country for long enough anyone can get a partial accent. Try it mate, come here and have a awesome time! lol
