  1. Is this in reference to the stimulus checks? Even though you don't work....if your parents had claimed you on their taxes, which I'm sure they did, they would be able to receive $300 for you. Because the stimulus check gave married couples $1,200 and then an additional $300 for qualifying children, they had to be under the age of 18.

  2. My guess is.... NO.

  3. You're not working or earning any income so you can't get anything from the IRS.  They don't hand out money, they just refund overpayments.  You're not eligible for the rebate on two counts -- you are a dependent and you have no income.

You are too old for your parents to receive the $300 kicker on the rebate for qualifying children.  That's limited to children UNDER age 17 as of Dec 31, 2007.

  4. No, if you did not work/pay any taxes, then you won't be able to file for a tax return. Besides.... there's a reason they call it a 'return' ;-)

  5. If your parents claimed you as a dependent on their return, you are not eligible for a rebate.  The cutoff age for the dependents is 16 years old, not 18 to receive the additional $300 rebate.
