ok here is my situation. I am an American citizen and was staying in the UK with friends and traveling around for 6 months, Americans arent required a visa if they stay in the UK for 6 months or less. I left before my entire 6 months was up but while i was there i applied to get into universities. I went home to the states for a few weeks then tried to go back to the UK to look into the universites(See the campus, speak to the staff, etc....)
I was denied access into the UK based on the fact I bought a one way ticket and immigration felt i didnt have sufficient funds in my bank account. They told me to go home and apply for a visitors visa to come back and look at the universities. So I did that but was denied a visitors visa based on my low funds even tho my parents submitted their bank account statements and they make over 13000 dollars a month.
I finally recieved word that I got into a couple of universities in the UK I picked a school paid half of my tuition already and need to apply for a student visa. Will I get denied based on previous problems with immigration? i really dont want to spend hundreds of dollars just to be denied again. please help if you have any information about this?? keep in mind this has all happened this summer june 2008.
