i've been to 2 tournaments (not any majors though) and i had mine out taking pictures.

but of course i was kinda hiding it under my arm.

just leave it in your pocket and turn it on silent

If you bring a mobile phone into a major tournament such as the Open, you should be shot. Don't you have any respect for the game? Apparently not !!  If a call is so important stay in the club house or get off the course grounds  completely. Why would you jeopardize someone's chances by having the d**n thing go off in the middle of a backswing?
