To get sick, you need exposure to a germ of some kind that your body doesn't have immunity to, so no, you won't get sick because of the temperature of the pool.  A cold pool should feel very refreshing on an 87-degree day.

u shouldn't i swam at the beach and the water was cold and i think it was lower than 87

No.  You'll be fine.  In fact, it'll just feel good.

I laughed. This is ridiculous. Pools that feel cold to the touch are usually between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Does that sound like it will make you sick?

If its a public pool, probably so.  But not because of temperature; but because people are just gross.  You wouldn't believe what they do in a pool; leave cuts and sores open and urinating and so on.

Public pools are notorious for getting people sick.  But as far as temp goes, public or private you shouldn't have a problem.

Chances are that you won't. Last year for my summer swim league, we had to go to this one pool that was 48 degrees on a day that it almost got to 100 outside. No one that I know of got sick from it.

Also, there is a pool right up the mountain from here that is kept at 44 degrees in the summer and hardly anyone ever gets sick from it.

You also have to realize that when you go swimming in a lake or river, it's usually not warm water, so you're doing the same thing there.

are you in a inside pool because if you are you might want to put a towel on your body and i dont think you are talking about being outside because i dont think that pools outside would just turn magically cold but it is 87 degrees outside

No. There's almost no chance that you could get sick from swimming in a pool, especially if it's 87 degrees. To get hypothermia in a 50 degree pool you'd have to be swimming for 8 or 10 hours straight.
