  1. very small chance...less than 1%.

  2. u have more chance of findind a 1000 pound in the street heres a better idear

grab yaself a big metal antenner that will incess ur chances greatly

  3. not likely but it could

  4. actually, there is a small chance of actually getting struck by lightning. yes, it is possible, but will it happen? more than likely not.

  5. no unless u were touching something really tall, like a tree. Speed doesn't affect  it

  6. NOTHING!!! i think that the chances are 1 in million according to statisics

  7. Umm, if you did that I will personally cause you to be struck by a strange form of electricity that could cause you to grow abnormal formations on your left nostril. =D

  8. You could get struck if you are the highest object or running under trees and depending on the distance between the houses.  Lightning strikes a lot faster than you can run.  You should wait until the thunderstorm has passed to be sure.

  9. It depends on whether you are the tallest thing in the area.

  10. its less likely then if you stood there. because lightnight tend to hit places that stand out (ie sitting beside a tree in the middle of a meadow is a horrible idea), and since you are moving, i think it would be less likely. besides, the overal likeliness of being stuck isn't high, and all odds go against you getting struck. i don't think its much risk.

  11. if u were out in the storm for say about 10 mins and had a m-3 player on and a cell phone and watching tv and flying a kite wit a key on it really high.....then yes other then that.....no

    =)

  12. no

  13. idk i dont think so but i no that if u r holding something eletric and its on then ya

  14. it's possible but not likely

  15. if you're in the middle of a field with nothing taller near, you're a good target

  16. It is possible, but the fact that you are running will not make it more or less likely. The major factor in determining your likelihood for getting struck by lightning is your relative height in the surrounding area.

  17. wear a metal helmet and hold a metal handle umbrella way up high and that might do the trick if the air is really charged

  18. Running, walking, or simply standing still will not appreciable change the odds of your being zapped.  What matters most are your surroundings.  Since the house around you are better targets, being higher and including antennas and wiring to the utilities post you are probably fairly safe.  Stay out of puddles, water can carry a discharge, the dirtier it is the better a conductor it is.  Running helps only because it lessens the time you are exposed.

The odds are in your favor.
