Will i get wic or will i lose it?

Question

i have a wic appointment and its the one that you have to bring proof of income and Maine care card. i don't have Maine Care anymore (i don't have insurance any more) and for some reason not thinking i did not keep any pay stubs like i should. my question is will they still take me even though i don't have insurance and i don't have my pay stubs any more? i am really worried that i am going to lost it my daughter is only 2 years old.

Sorry to hear this but hopefully you will not lose WIC benefits. Why don't you relax for tonight wait for tomorrow think POSITIVE and wake up POSITIVE &  things will come OK. While being there you can ask for any other options to continue with WIC benefits for your girl. This is just in case you have any problems but I really don't think it should be a problem.. Call your employers payroll department.  They can print you off a payroll report.  This should suffice.  Make sure when you go to WIC you are honest with them.  They will be more likely to work with you.

As long as you are within the income limits for assistance than your insurace coverage should not be an issue.

Ok Get hold of your employer and they can  give you a copy of your earnings, and even though you don'y have Maine Care anymore, (I'm assuming that you lost it because of your income) just let them know that you don't have insurance, WIC income guidelines are less stringent than The ones for Medicaid and foodstamps, my sister-in-law didn't think that she could get WIC because my brother msde to much for them to qualify for Hoosier Healthwise or foodstamps and she took me to a meeting because my husband had the truck that day and she found out that even with his income she was able to qualify, and they even gave her information on low cost health insurance for the kids that they could get.
