Will i have cell phone reception in the Bahamas?

You probably will, because the cruise ship will have a cell phone provider(tower type thing), but it will cost you. Definitely check with verizon to see how much it will cost you for roaming charges and such.

I used my ATT wireles service, the charge was almost $4.00 per minute to call the US. It was very convenient!

Just check with Verizon. I believe that if you request international coverage for the days you'll be outside the country they will provide you with discounted rates.

Check with your cruise line and Verizon. Most of the time you will just be charged a roaming fee by your cell phone provider. If you live in the US though you probably would have to get your phone unlocked for international use. Like I said contact Verizon.
