My wedding is 12:30pm to 4:00pm. I am leaving out of the Providence Rhode Island airport. My reception is in New Bedford, MA which is about a 45 min drive. Im thinking that we should be all set to leave the hall aftering getting changed and getting everthing together by 4:45pm. My flight is on U.S. Airways and is scheduled for 7:05pm. If i check in the night before and print out my boarding pass will i have enough time to not have to worry about missing my flight? I am very nervous since it is my honeymoon! What do you think? Do i have enough time?

  1. Ouch. Thats a tight squeeze. If you stay in the left lane yes. I got home yesterday from a vacation and we had to leave my grandpa's house at 10:30. We went to go get gas, and since the gas station is right next to the interstate, we got on the freeway and made it to the rental car return place at 12:15 about. Our flight left at 1:35. We barely made it. At Atlanta airport, you have to check in at least 45 minutes before your flight leaves. We had 43 minutes. Try leaving a little early.

  2. You're cutting it very close, most airlines want you to check in at least two hours before the flight departs, although most airlines close the check-in for flights around 45 minutes before departure. If it's an international flight, you should give yourself even more time. You probably should be able to make it, but you leave yourself no margin for error. What if the traffic is bad or the security lines are long? Checking in online and using curbside baggage check should help, but to be safe it might be best to give yourself extra time. Good luck.
