  1. Some courses want an interview and some don't so that all depends on which course and which uni you apply for. I know i had 2 interviews for my course whereas the uni im at now didn't ask for one when i was applying so it may be best to contact the universities to find out.

  2. Hi Sarah - this only applies to certain subjects, mainly creative arts/media ones were a portfolio is required. Though some Uni's and the heads of that Department may be a bit fussy! Specially the close ones were they like to get to know all the students.  :)

Though it doesn't hurt to practice for one just in case - it's good practice!

  3. Maybe, maybe not. I don't think it's very likely for the course you want to study though. It does depend on the university of course. If you look on www.ucas.com at the entry requirements for different courses it will usually say whether an interview is required.

  4. Yes you do, if you're thinking of joining that particular Uni. If not, then no, I guess not.

  5. You would have an interview, if required, as part of the admission process.  There are many college students and graduates in my extended family and none of them had an interview required.  It IS a good idea to visit the school and take a tour and talk to students, maybe sit in on a class, etc., to help you make your decision about college.
