Will i have to go to the denist or the hospital to have a wisdom tooth extracted!!!?

i have a really bad wisdom tooth, i think it will need pulling!! if this is the case would it be done through the hospital, NHS (UK). I really can't go to the dentist, petrified of them, would rather it be pulled while i'm under!! Have heard that if it is a wisdom it will only get done at the hospital because of the length of the root!!

I went to a dental surgeon to get mine done, so all he does is teeth but doesn't do regular checkups.  He is also on call at the hospital.  He knew I was a fainter so he gave me valium to take before I even left my house.  And when I arrived at the office he gassed me and put me right out.  So basically if you are afraid of the dentist just go to a dental surgeon!

unless you want to do it a-la-tom hanks in castaway- with a ice skating boot, then i'd suggest you go to the dentist and ask him to reccomend what to do. make sure you tell him you'd prefer to be knocked out and i'm sure he'll happily point you in the right direction, unless hes a sick b*****d who likes seeing people in pain... then you're stuffed.
