Will i look trashy(as everyone describes it) if i get a lip piercing?

im 14yrs old girl

my friends and classmates know me as a shy girl and innocent,quite intelligent,

im not goth, emo, or any labels..i hate them im just a normal girl

will i look trashy if i get a lip piercing?

Most likely not, but I'm just going by what you've described yourself as -- since we have no actual picture of you in our heads, it's a tad hard to tell.

But, I'd always wanted my lip pierced [for 4 years, actually], but my parents never let me; until a little while ago. I was kind of faltering in my loyalty to my love of the lip piercing, because of the new craze for it.

I'd say that to a lot of people, probably not your classmates as much as passers-by, that you might look a little trashy and like a "wannabe-emo" or something. But I'd most definitely say that if you really want your lip pierced, then to do it. Don't wait 4 years like I did so that it can get any other kind of reputation.

Besides. Most of the passers-by that might classify you as trashy probably hate themselves because THEY'RE the trashy ones. =]

To those that matter you won't be trashy, so don't worry.

I would really advise against getting your lip pierced. I don't like to call people trashy, but its really not an attractive look.

My buddy and his girlfriend thought it would be cool to get their lips pierced...two weeks later, realized it was terrible and got it out....now they have holes in their lips.

really think it through. Its not that cool, its a passing fad type deal.

Just be yourself. Its not a bad thing for people to think your shy innocent and intelligent. Thinking your trashy, fake, and a poser is a lot worse.

Maybe when you're older you can get a meaningful tattoo, possibly a belly button piercing (even though that passes too). Something like that is more feminine and cute. A lip and eyebrow piercing is just awful.

no i dont think so anyway. i would just stick to jewelry that  fits your face. like a small diamond or a small loop. because it does look silly when you see a cute little girly with a giant lip ring. so i would go with a small stud and a small guage.

if all your friends are doing it, then i wouldn't... i'm friends with the emo crowd, and most have it done. but other than that i think it looks great =) go for it? and whether your loud or quite innocent or rebel, anyone can get a peircing.. plus what they think about you might not be as right as they think

Not at all, Lip rings look good on people. Anyway it usually not so much piercings that make people look trashy so much as the way they'll sometimes dress.
