  1. My coach told us you can lose 15% a week.

  2. Sorry but yeah u will.

  3. Unfortunately you will loose of fitness with doing nothing at all, however you can keep your fitness levels up.

Will you be able to start your basic training with a broken bone in your foot or will you have to put your start date back a bit till its fully mended?

So what can you do until its mended? Well no running, though you could do cycling and swimming when the pot is off and that will keep your fitness levels up.

To be honest though, if you can do 1.5 miles in 10 mins, I don't think that you will slow down to the 12 minutes they need in a month and you will get your fitness back pretty quick once you are in

  4. Well, even though you can do no exercise for your leg itself, there are some things you can do to prevent muscle loss. In New Scientist there was an article about a year ago about an experiment where a group of people were asked to imagine lifting weights for 15 minutes everyday for  2 weeks.

At the end of the experiment there was muscle growth in nearly all of the people. You could probably use the same technique if you imagine lifting weights with your legs both up and down, you may even build muscle volume!

By imagining, it may help to twitch the muscles you are imagining using slightly, just to make it more realistic, and trick your body into thinking it is exercising.

All the best, hope this works for you.

  5. Talk to your doctor and see if there's some kind of exercise you can do with the cast on.
